1st Game on Monday, February 28, 2011 IKM-Manning vs. OA-BCIG, 6:45 p.m., Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines School will be dismissed one hour early on Monday, February 28. Possible 2nd Game on Thursday, March 3, 2011 If IKM-Manning wins their game on Monday their next game would be at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 3. If we win Monday there will be no school on Thursday, March 3. If IKM-Manning loses their game on Monday school will held as usual on Thursday, March 3. Friday, March 4, 2011 If IKM-Manning wins Monday and Thursday, they would play in the 2A championship game at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 4. There would be a full day of school on Friday, March 4 with normal dismissal times. If IKM-Manning wins Monday but loses Thursday they are done in the tournament. The girls’ basketball state tournament does not have a consolation game. Ticket Sales Tickets for all state basketball games are general admission and cost is $8. Tickets for all games may be purchased at the Wells Fargo Arena ticket office. The school will also have advanced sale tickets available in the Irwin, Manilla, and Manning offices for Monday’s game as soon as they arrive from the IGHSAU. Tickets are $8.00 for the evening quarterfinal session which begins with the 5 p.m. game between Lynville-Sully and Ar We Va. IKM-Manning’s game follows at 6:45 p.m. Advanced ticket sales at the Irwin and Manilla offices will end at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, February 25 and sales at the high school office in Manning will end at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, February 28. If IKM-Manning advances, tickets for Thursday’s semifinal game will be sold in the Manilla and Irwin offices until 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 2 and in the Manning office until 3 p.m. on Wednesday, March 2. Championship game tickets for Friday, March 4 will only be sold on-site at Wells Fargo Arena. Pep Bus on Monday, February 28 A pep bus (school bus) will be offered to the game on Monday if there is sufficient interest. The bus will leave from the Irwin school building at 4:00 p.m., the Manilla school building at 4:15 p.m. and the high school parking lot in Manning at 4:30 p.m. Cost to ride is $10. Community members and students may sign up in school offices in Irwin, Manilla, and Manning and must pay when they sign up. Students in 6th grade and under must be accompanied by a responsible adult. If at least 20 people are not signed up and paid by 3:30 p.m. on Friday, February 25 then a pep bus will not be offered. |
